Applications BC! Encoder |

BlackCat! is a proprietary encryption algorithm that can be used to securely encrypt and compress data. BlackCat! Encoder 2.0 is the most recent and best version that is not backwards compatible. For security's purposes I won't go into detail about how it works. Just enter the data you wish to convert and a password. Your data is never stored on this web server and if you forget your password, there is nothing I can do to decode it.
There are also no plans to port this web application (or any in the archive) to a client application. The main source of this algorithm's security is that the software is hidden and requires a time delay of 1 second for any data processing to prevent brute force attacks. If you need the ability to decode your data without an internet connection this will unfortunately not work for you.
I certainly hope so, since I use it to encrypt my bank account details on my computer!
In all seriousness, BlackCat! is about as secure as it comes. It uses the same methods of encryption as de-facto standards of data protection. It may not be as difficult to break as the best encryption methods in existence, but BlackCat! doesn't have millions of people trying to crack it open.
Being a locked-down web-based script that can only be accessed through communication with a web server, it protects BlackCat! from brute force attempts on your password. Every request for decryption has a sleep time of 1 second, meaning the fastest super computers are still limited. Still, your data is only as secure as the password that you use.
It goes without saying that no data is stored from the use of BlackCat! (aside from logging that you visited the page, which almost every webpage on the internet will do for statistical purposes). This service is FAR more secure than keeping writing down things on paper and I would bet there's a lower chance of BlackCat! being compromised than its high-profile competitors that attract a lot of attention.
As I said, I use it to store my bank details not only on my computer, but in cloud-storage. When it comes to having peace of mind with the BlackCat! Encoder - I've quite literally put my money where my mouth is.
